Saudia Cargo reported that one of its cargo planes, flight SV916 from Maastricht (Holland) to Jeddah (Saudi Arabia) had suffered a technical problem in one of its engines that resulted in the plane veering off the runway during takeoff last night. The airline reported that the incident did not result in any injuries or damage to cargo or equipment, stating that it is in full cooperation with the relevant authorities investigating the reason for the technical engine fault of the Boeing 747-400, registry TC-ACR. The aircraft is owned and operated by ACT, and is leased by Saudi Arabian Airlines.
