Global air freight industry leader Saudia Cargo is a proud sponsor of two much coveted categories in this year’s Air Cargo Week World Air Cargo Awards Munich.
Alternately held in Munich and Shanghai annually, the Air Cargo Week World Air Cargo Awards
is considered one of the largest and most prestigious award-giving bodies in the industry.
Freight companies across the globe vie for only 10 categories with winners announced in a glittering gala dinner at a five-star hotel at the conclusion of the exhibition.
This year, Saudia Cargo is sponsoring the Airport of the Year 2017 Award and the Information Technology for the Air Cargo Industry Award.
Commenting on the occasion, Saudia Cargo CEO Nabil Khojah said: “The success of any cargo business starts from the airport, including the relevant infrastructure and services. At Saudia Cargo we believe that this is a prime opportunity to network with existing clients and show our products and services updates to our target market from concessions to environmental operations.”
Widely credited for pushing reforms at Saudia Cargo, Khojah said the company proudly supports those who continue to strive for excellence and uplift industry standards.
“We believe that the Air Cargo Week World Air Cargo Awards attracts top aviation professionals in Europe and the entire world and therefore deserves our support and we are delighted to sponsor the Airport of the Year 2017 Award category,” he said.
Gary Hoyle, Chief Financial Officer, echoed the CEO’s sentiment and stressed that information technology is an equally important aspect of the industry that should be nurtured and developed.
“We know that information technology is the future, and indeed what drives the industry and we all need it to grow and advance further. It’s our choice at Saudia Cargo to support the accessibility of information technology and reliability and why we are happy to sponsor the Information Technology for the Air Cargo Industry Award,” he said.
