In 2018, the annex 1 policy was revised to incorporate performance linked payouts. For this purpose, the commission and incentive percentages were re-evaluated, with more emphasis given to the incentives. The commission percentages were reduced slightly while the incentive percentages were substantially increased. This was coupled with attractive and realistic targets to ensure that it’s a win-win situation for both SACC and its partners.
The idea behind this alteration was to encourage GSAs to strive for more by improving their performance and service. Many of our GSAs accepted this revision happily, while for others, the same model will be applied next year.
Moreover, another improvement that has occurred in the annex department is the validity of the annex. Previously, annex 1 used to be valid for a year, and was subsequently renewed upon its expiry. This, not only created additional renewal cost, but also resulted in delay in the commission payments. To counter these issues, it was decided that the annex will remain valid until a change in any of its clauses is needed, whereas, the incentive targets will be communicated to the GSAs separately. This will not only save time and cost but will also ensure that the commission payments to the GSAs are made on time.
